About me
Solution and technical architect specialised in ServiceNow, with 18+ years across ITSM, ITOM, integrations and development.
I'm Breno, a Brazilian solution and technical architect living in Utrecht, Netherlands. At Accenture I lead solutioning and delivery for clients on ServiceNow: shaping requirements into statements of work and estimates, designing the architecture, and leading the teams that build it.
How I got here
I started in 2006 at CEMIG in Belo Horizonte as a developer and administrator on Peregrine Service Center and HP Service Manager, integrating it with SAP and building a user portal in Java and PHP. A stint at B2W Digital added Oracle EBS, PL/SQL and SOA Suite to the toolbox.
As a solution architect and pre-sales consultant in Rio de Janeiro I designed high-availability ITSM environments for large public and private clients, answered RFPs, negotiated contracts and trained hundreds of users. At IBM in Poland I was lead architect for Micro Focus Service Manager and the UCMDB focal point, then moved to ServiceNow as ITSM architect for a global bank: around 6,000 users, more than 70 integrations, and the security design to match.
After a period at Rabobank in a DevOps-oriented squad, I joined Accenture in the Netherlands in 2022. Since then I've worked across ITSM, ITOM Discovery and Service Mapping, SecOps, DevOps Change Velocity, custom apps and platform setup for several clients.
How I work
I like to stay close to both ends of a solution: the business case and cost-versus-value decisions on one side, and the code, integrations and performance on the other. Having been developer, administrator, consultant and architect, I try to design things that the people who build and run them will thank me for.
Where I'm heading
- Keep broadening beyond a single platform: cloud, integration and application architecture.
- Take on wider solution ownership across multi-platform landscapes.
- Grow towards enterprise architecture over time.
